Fantastic World Cup debut for Johan Gulliksen in Leipzig

What an excellent World Cup debut for Johan and his nine-year-old gelding, Charleville, as the pair jumped clear in the first round of the Longines FEI World Cup in Leipzig this weekend, delivering a fully-focused and beautiful ridden round.

- I am really satisfied with my first round, Johan says. -  I followed my plan, Charleville jumped exceptionally good, and everything worked well, also technically. Unfortunately, I got a bit excited in the Jump off, in which ended with two fences down. I simply started out too fast – and it penalized me.

With a total of 8 faults in the Jump off, Johan ended as number 15 out of a total of 40 riders. An unbelievable debut for the young Gulliksen.

Gregory Wathelet won the class, while Kevin Staut ended second best and Niklas Krieg third.
